Popular Absent Talent Backstage At AEW Dynamite

Injured AEW talent returning soon?

A popular All Elite Wrestling talent was backstage at Wednesday night's edition of Dynamite.

According to Fightful Select, Powerhouse Hobbs was at Dynamite this week in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. If Hobbs was simply visiting or AEW were working to get him cleared for an in-ring return is unknown.

Powerhouse Hobbs has been out of action since late April when he faced Jon Moxley for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Hobbs suffered a "significant" injury in the match, possibly to his knee, after colliding with the turnbuckle and he has since underwent surgery. It was unknown how long Hobbs would be out of action beyond that he planned to bring "hell" back with him upon his return.

Powerhouse Hobbs has been signed with All Elite Wrestling since 2020. He is a former TNT Champion, having held the gold for 42 days in 2023 in between reigns for Wardlow.

Other AEW talents currently on the shelf due to injury include Adam Cole and Adam Copeland. Cole is progressing well towards a return, with it being noted that he was hopeful of resuming training for an in-ring return as of late August.
