Popular WWE Talent Set To Return Soon

He hasn't been seen for a month.

A popular WWE star is set to return after a recent layoff.

SE Scoops writer Aaron Varble wrote on X that Dragon Lee will be 'right back' after a recent hiatus. Lee last wrestled at the February 16 WWE television taping, where he defeated Cedric Alexander in a match filmed for WWE Speed.

His most recent appearance before then was his loss to NXT North American Champion Oba Femi at NXT Vengeance Day on February 4.

A former NXT North American Champion in his own right, it is unclear where Dragon Lee has been in recent weeks.

The 28-year-old luchador was receiving a decent push on SmackDown towards the end of 2023, with reports indicating that his push was set to continue. WWE officials were said to be very happy with his work after getting called up to the main roster.

Perhaps the return of Rey Mysterio will open up a door for Lee to come back to SmackDown. There were reportedly plans for Mysterio to be involved in a programme featuring Lee, which would see the WWE Hall of Famer endorsing him as the future, prior to Rey being written out of storylines so that he could undergo knee surgery.
