Kenny Omega Not Expected To Return For AEW's Canada Shows

Although Kenny Omega is advertised for one of All Elite Wrestling's upcoming shows in Canada which begin on March 16, fans shouldn't expect to see the former AEW World Champion back in action.

Tony Khan stated during the post-Revolution media scrum: 

"I don't think it would be fair to create the expectation that Kenny Omega would be cleared by then. I'm very optimistic Kenny will be coming back, but I don't know the exact date. I think that's an aggressive timetable. Kenny is one of AEW's great stars and we can't wait to have him back as soon as possible. I don't think it would be fair to create the expectation he would be cleared by then though."

Omega has been out of action since December 2023 when he revealed he had been diagnosed with diverticulitis. The issue was said to be so serious that Omega was close to having a 50% chance of death. The situation has moved in more of a positive direction since December but Omega remains out of action indefinitely. 

The Best Bout Machine has instead occupied his time talking about video games, including revealing that he suffered a permanent scar during the Like a Dragon Gaiden Street Fight on AEW Dynamite back in November.
