Whilst Bobby Roode’s in-ring future is still up in the air, his current role as part of WWE’s production team seems to be going smoothly.
Roode has been working behind the scenes in the company since SummerSlam in August, and a new report from Fightful Select suggests the former TNA World Champion is now producing matches solo for main roster television.
When new names are brought in to work as producers for WWE they spend time shadowing someone well versed in the role, with WWE then deciding whether to use these new producers more going forward, or to cut their losses.
With Roode now producing on his own this suggests there is a future for him behind the scenes in WWE. The former NXT Champion has been out of action since June 2022, and he has undergone two neck fusion surgeries. Whilst earlier reports suggested the ‘Glorious One’ could be set for an in-ring return in 2024, nothing is set in stone, with a return from fusion surgery an uphill battle for any wrestler.
