Powerhouse Hobbs Comments On Tony Khan's Social Media Use
Powerhouse Hobbs has commented on Tony Khan’s use of Twitter/X
All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan is enthusiastic about his company, to put it mildly, with Khan routinely using any opportunity on social media to promote AEW, even if it takes badmouthing other wrestling promotions.
Khan recently tore into WWE’s decision to feature Jinder Mahal in a World Heavyweight Championship match despite registering minimal wins on TV, with Khan’s conduct igniting debate in the pro wrestling world.
Reports stated that some AEW talents were embarrassed by Khan’s conduct online, and during an interview with Adrian Hernandez of Sporting Tribune, AEW’s Powerhouse Hobbs was asked his opinion on Khan’s Twitter/X use:
"It's his company. He believes in us, and if you believe in something, speak your mind. If you're 100% sure on it, speak your mind. If you're 99% sure on it, don't speak on it. He's 100% sure and he's speaking his mind. He believes in his company and he believes in us," said Hobbs.
Whilst badmouthing your competition is nothing new in professional wrestling (see Paul Heyman in ECW, Eric Bischoff in WCW, and Vince McMahon in WWE amongst others) the platform which Khan eschews his opinions is relatively new.
