Powerhouse Hobbs' WWE Ring Name Revealed

It has been widely known that former AEW TNT & World Trios Champion Powerhouse Hobbs is on his way to WWE after the expiration of his AEW deal, with it being revealed in recent weeks that WWE held a heavy interest in the wrestler. Real name William Hobson, he became Will Hobbs in AEW and later Powerhouse Hobbs, but this ring name will not follow him to his new home. 

As revealed by Bodyslam.net, WWE’s recent trademark of the name “Royce Keys” will reportedly serve as the brand new in-ring name for Powerhouse Hobbs upon his move to the company, being confirmed by WWE sources. 

It was revealed yesterday that WWE had officially signed Hobbs, though it wasn’t known when exactly the pen was put to paper. When it comes to his debut with the promotion, reports suggested that he was expected to be present at WWE’s Royal Rumble weekend next week in Saudi Arabia. This falls in line with fellow reports that hinted that he’d be headed straight to the WWE main roster rather than taking a pitstop in WWE’s developmental system, NXT.
