WWE held one of the company's more divisive editions of WrestleMania in 1995 as WrestleMania 11 emanated from the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, Connecticut on April 2, 1995. Seven matches were held on the card and some reviewers have claimed the show "saved" WWE while others have called it the worst WrestleMania of all time.
WWE remained deep in their New Generation era at this juncture and WrestleMania was firmly a new generation, with the stars of the 1980s largely absent from WrestleMania XI.
