Reason Behind Scarlett's Absence From WWE NXT Reportedly Emerges

NXT Champion Karrion Kross has not had his real-life partner, and on-screen manager, Scarlett by his side in recent weeks on either the black-and-gold brand or his visits to Monday Night Raw.

The reigning NXT Champion has been going it alone during his interactions with Samoa Joe on Tuesday nights and, according to PWInsider, Scarlett's absence is not down to any sort of creative decision. 

The report indicates that Scarlett is not currently cleared to be on television and, while there is nothing specifically wrong with her, she needed to take some time off for a reason that is currently unknown.

Kross made his main roster debut without Scarlett by his side but reports indicated that WWE planned to have her join the reigning NXT Champion in the near future, to rebound from initial losses on Raw. However, with Kross defeating the likes of Jeff Hardy and Keith Lee on his own, it remains to be seen what the plan will be for Scarlett upon her return.

Scarlett worked a pre-SmackDown dark match on June 25 against Shotzi Blackheart, so that officials could get a better look at the two then-NXT wrestlers.
