Reason For Drew McIntyre Storming Out Of Survivor Series 'Connected To CM Punk'
Drew McIntyre was apparently not happy with CM Punk coming back to WWE
Following CM Punk’s huge return last night at WWE Survivor Series 2023, several stories emerged of unhappiness behind the scenes, some of that including main event talent. It was revealed that Drew McIntyre had stormed out of Survivor Series - with fan footage revealing that he didn’t stick around for Punk’s entrance after the WarGames main event - and proceeded to leave the Allstate Arena.
Some more details have emerged since it wasn’t originally known what caused this anger and frustration for McIntyre. Per Fightful Select, those close to McIntyre after checking on him “confirmed it was connected to the CM Punk return.”
Although there is a chance the Seth Rollins situation in which he tried to find Punk in the Gorilla position is believed to be a work, it is said that this is not the case with Drew McIntyre. Furthermore, it was revealed that McIntyre was selling his back injury during his storm out of the arena to keep up appearances and remain professional despite his anger.
