Report: AEW Had Fans In Attendance For Night One Of Fyter Fest 2020

Approximately 60 people sat in the upper bowl...

On Wednesday night, AEW held their first major event since Double Or Nothing as night one of Fyter Fest 2020 was broadcast from Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida. The show was praised by many and the opening bout between Jurassic Express and MJF & Wardlow, and Hikaru Shida vs. Penelope Ford were marked out for commendation.

Fans were also seemingly in attendance at the show as a now-deleted post on Reddit mentioned 60 people were privately invited to sit in the upper bowl at Daily's Place. They noted it was mandatory to wear a face mask and all attendees had to sign waivers acknowledging they hadn't been exposed to coronavirus. Everyone also had their temperatures checked before they entered the amphitheatre.

Ryan Satin at Pro Wrestling Sheet followed up on the post and reported the fans in attendance were local sponsors of Daily's Place or the Jacksonville Jaguars who could bring some friends and family along. Satin revealed the attendees likely weren't tested for COVID-19 because it was impossible for them to be exposed to any AEW staff who were at ringside or in the lower bowl. AEW also spaced fans out further than the two-metre CDC guidelines and people were sitting in pockets across the upper bowl.
