Report: AEW Not Booking Serena Deeb Due To Past Heat

Serena Deeb hasn't been on AEW TV since October 2022 and her absence appears to be due to the former NWA Women's World Champion having heat in All Elite Wrestling. 

Addressing Deeb's status on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez said: "I haven't gotten an answer either. But like something happened, there was some sort of heat over something. So whatever it was, I mean, she's just not being used. So there you go. I don't know if she is officially on the roster."

Dave Meltzer added: "I haven't even heard them even hint about her name or anything. It feels like forever."

There is no word on what led to Deeb having heat in AEW. Reports back in June, eight months into Deeb's hiatus, noted she hadn't been backstage for some time and no plans had been discussed for her.

Deeb signed with AEW in 2020, shortly after she was released from her coaching role in WWE. She was often a featured performer on AEW TV until her hiatus.
