Natalya's contract is set to expire in the near future and the former SmackDown Women's Champion's future with WWE is currently up in the air as talks over a new contract rumble on.

It has been known for some time that Natalya's WWE deal was expiring and Fightful Select has reported that the two sides remain engaged in negotiations over a contract extension, with her deal set to expire this Summer. WWE have been very quiet about any possible developments over a new deal.

Natalya has not wrestled on WWE TV since early June and she was not backstage at the July 1 edition of Monday Night Raw. Whether WWE will bring Natalya back to TV before her deal expires is unknown.

Natalya does have options outside of WWE, with Fightful noting there have been "numerous talent and staff in AEW who pushed for the possibility of Natalya joining the company." Natalya is said to be "keeping all options open", including a Hart Family biopic which has received interest following the success of The Iron Claw.

Natalya has been signed with WWE since 2007 and she has been on the main roster for the past 16 years. In addition to her SmackDown Women's Title reign, Natalya is a former Divas Champion and one-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion, having held the belts with Tamina.
