Report: AEW Television Show To Air On TNT This Fall

Wrestling returns to the network after more than 18 years...

The Turner Broadcasting family of networks had been linked to stories concerning All Elite Wrestling's search for a TV deal for the past few months. TNT and TBS, in part due to their extensive history of airing pro wrestling, seemed the most likely candidates to host any such shows.

A report from The Wrap reveals that on the morning of Wednesday, May 15, one hour prior to WarnerMedia's upfront event in New York City, AEW's TV deal will be officially announced.

Per The Wrap's report, "Current plans call for Turner to begin airing a weekly AEW wrestling show this fall on TNT."

The report also notes that AEW President Tony Khan, as well as several wrestlers from the organization, are expected to be on hand at Madison Square Garden in New York City Wednesday morning as part of WarnerMedia's upfront. The event is where the show will be pitched to advertisers.

If the report is true, it marks the return of professional wrestling to the Turner airwaves, following the cancellation of WCW Monday Nitro and Thunder (airing on TNT and TBS, respectively) in March of 2001.
