Latest On Luke Harper Trying To Secure Release From WWE
Vince McMahon passes him on to Triple H...
May 9, 2019
Last week we learned why Luke Harper asked for his WWE release, as the Wrestling Observer Newsletter claimed the former Bludgeon Brother found out that he wasn't going to be assigned to a brand in the latest Superstar Shake-Up after a feud with Sami Zayn on Raw was canned. Now, the latest WON is reporting that WWE are not going to be giving Harper any bookings going forwards - but also won't let him out of his current contract which they've also added six months to in order to make up for the time lost while he was out injured recently. Not only that, but apparently when Luke asked Vince McMahon to get out of his contract, Vince said he should take it up with Triple H but The Game didn't get back to him...
For the avoidance of any doubt, here's what the latest WON reported. "Harper has been given no future bookings, but also won’t be let out of his contract. He asked Vince McMahon if he wasn’t going to be used if he could get out in November as is the contract expiration date, before WWE extended it six months based on his being out with an injury. McMahon told him to take it up with Paul Levesque, who then didn’t respond to him."
