Report: AJ Styles Vs. Finn Balor Being Considered For WWE WrestleMania 41

A surprising name is under consideration to be AJ Styles' opponent at WrestleMania 41.

AJ Styles has been teased for an Intercontinental Title match at WrestleMania 41 with Bron Breakker, a match that was heavily hinted at on Monday's episode of Raw. The undercard for WrestleMania is still being worked out within WWE, though, and another name floated around as a possible opponent for AJ Styles has been Finn Balor.

After being asked about a possible Dominik Mysterio vs. Finn Balor match at WrestleMania, WrestleVotes said on a Backstage Pass Q&A:

"I could see it, I don't think it will happen [Dominik Mysterio vs. Finn Balor]. I've heard potentially AJ Styles, if it's not Bron Breakker, for Finn in a singles match, first time ever at WrestleMania. As we reported last week, I do believe the undercard is still being worked on...I think a lot of shuffling is still going on there."

Two former leaders of Bullet Club, Finn Balor and AJ Styles have only had three singles matches against each other, although they have faced each other in tag team action on several occasions. Balor has a 2-1 singles record against Styles, having defeated the two-time WWE Champion at TLC 2017 and on the September 15, 2023 episode of SmackDown. AJ Styles, meanwhile, defeated Balor at Survivor Series 2022.

Another match rumoured for WrestleMania 41 is Solo Sikoa vs. Jacob Fatu.
