On January 13, WWE announcer Corey Graves made some (since deleted) posts on social media alluding to his dissatisfaction with his current role, while suggesting that he wasn't 'famous enough' to appear behind the booth on either Raw or SmackDown.
Graves has since appeared on NXT TV as the third man in their announce team, alongside Vic Joseph and Booker T.
WWE's most tenured announcer, Michael Cole, has had his say on what has been going on between Corey and the company.
Discussing the situation during a recent appearance on Impaulsive, Cole said:
"That's a strange situation. I love Corey. Love him to death. I still don't understand all the dynamics of it. I know that he said something on social media that was pretty critical of the company. He tried to explain to everyone that he was trying to generate some interest and maybe type up a storyline. I don't think the company saw it that way. I think him and the company are working that out. I love Corey to death. He is an unbelievable commentator. Beside [Pat] McAfee, he is probably the best partner I've ever had."
Cole himself won't be going anywhere anytime soon after signing a long-term deal with the company last year.
