The ending of Clash at the Castle 2024 was not the one that the vast majority of fans inside the OVO Hydro in Glasgow wanted to see.

CM Punk emerged at the end of Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre's World Heavyweight Championship main event to cost the Scottish star his chance to win the gold.

According to a new report from SEScoops, the sour mood spilled over from inside the arena to outside, with fans allegedly fighting as they exited the building. There were many fans shouting and swearing once outside the arena, with the conclusion to the show described as having put a dampener on the excitement of the previous two days.

Celtic FC were at least happy with the outcome, as they thanked Punk for screwing noted Rangers fan McIntyre over.

At the post-show press conference, Cultaholic Wrestling's Fraser Campbell asked Punk for an update on his injury status, with the Straight-Edge Superstar noting that he was close to being cleared for an in-ring return.

One of his first matches will no doubt be against McIntyre, with the two men having been at odds since the start of the year.
