WWE aren't famous for keeping tag teams together and the company has featured many temporary teams over the years.

While many expected this would be the case for Riddle and Randy Orton with RK-Bro, the tag team have thus far remained together since uniting after WrestleMania 37 and a rematch with Alpha Academy looks to be on the horizon.

This hasn't stopped WWE creative from thinking about breaking up the team, though, and WrestleVotes noted plans were in place to split Riddle and Randy up before SummerSlam last year. Once that was scrapped, the plan was to hold off for a singles match at WrestleMania 37.

That match might not take place at The Show Of Shows, though, as only a handful of creative team members want to break RK-Bro up and the belief is a singles match, if it was to take place, should be over the WWE Title.

"WWE had plans since the pairing began last spring for Riddle vs Randy Orton @ SummerSlam, which didn't happen. Plan was to hold off til Mania. I'm told now only a handful of creative members want to spilt them, w/ the idea that if the match happens, it should be for the WWE title," WrestleVotes tweeted.

This comes after it emerged Riddle was scheduled to win the WWE Royal Rumble at Saturday's pay-per-view but the company opted to have Brock Lesnar win the match instead.
