Report: Backstage News On WWE's Booking Of Grayson Waller

WWE have a plan for Grayson Waller

After spending two years in WWE's developmental system, Grayson Waller made his way to the main roster during the 2023 WWE Draft, being called up to Friday Night SmackDown from NXT.

Waller wasn't the only NXT talent to be moved to the main roster, with the likes of Cameron Grimes, Kayden Carter, Kacy Catanzaro, Isla Dawn, Alba Fyre, Apollo Crews, and Indus Sher all making their way to either Raw or SmackDown. Many of those wrestlers have since competed inside the squared circle on the main roster, but Waller has not. The former Matty Wahlberg has instead been booked to host his Grayson Waller Effect talk show, with AJ Styles and Asuka having appeared in the segment as guests so far.

Although he hasn't wrestled, that doesn't mean WWE don't have high hopes for Waller, with Better Wrestling Experience reporting that Waller is just being slowly introduced on SmackDown.

"He's good. It's a matter of slowly introducing him," BWE tweeted.

When Waller will have his first match on the main roster is unknown. He hasn't wrestled since failing to defeat Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship at Spring Breakin' on April 25.
