Report: Bret Hart Likely Unable To Appear At AEW All In

Fans shouldn't expect Bret Hart to appear at AEW All In

Bret Hart may not be closely associated with AEW, but he did appear on their very first PPV event, Double or Nothing, back in 2019, revealing for the first time the AEW World Championship. He would also interact with MJF on that show. With AEW recently announcing the All In event at Wembley Stadium, fans will no doubt look back at the last professional wrestling event in that venue, which saw an iconic clash between Bret Hart and the British Bulldog at SummerSlam 1992.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer discussed the possibility of Bulldog’s son, Davey Boy Smith Jr and Bret Hart being used at the upcoming event.

“Obviously there has been a lot of U.K. sentiment toward Tony Khan to bring in Smith Jr., since he’s already there, and Bret Hart, for an appearance on his show. I don’t believe Hart can legally appear due to his WWE deal, as that’s the reason Hart has never appeared on an episode of Impact.”

WWE and AEW have allowed some brief crossover, with the likes of Bryan Danielson and Big Show sending in messages to celebrate John Cena’s career, though the two sides reportedly failed to come to an agreement on a Billy Gunn appearance on Raw earlier this year.
