Report: Brian 'Road Dogg' James Returns to WWE NXT

He was hospitalised in March

WWE Hall of Famer and NXT Producer Brian 'Road Dogg' James reportedly returned to his backstage position for this past week's NXT.

James was hospitalised in March after suffering what was suspected to be a heart attack. His wife, Tracy, made fans aware of the situation via a post on Facebook, with James himself providing an update at the end of March, saying he had been allowed to return home to continue his recovery.

PWInsider is reporting that James was able to make a physical return to work for WWE at this past week's NXT show, marking the first time he had been at the Capitol Wrestling Center since going into hospital.

It has been noted that the 51-year-old has been helping to produce NXT remotely over the past couple of weeks, but this past Tuesday's show was the first time he'd actually been at a broadcast since his heart attack.

James returned to WWE, initially as a producer in 2011, before resuming the position in 2014 after a brief run back on-screen. He worked as Smackdown's Lead Writer between 2016-2018 before settling into his current position at the Capitol Performance Center.
