Report: Carlos Cabrera Released By WWE

After many years

After almost 30 years with the company, Spanish-language announcer Carlos Cabrera has been released by WWE.

Cabrera's former colour commentator Hugo Savinovich, who is now with Lucha Libre Online, announced the Spanish announcer had been let go by Vince McMahon's company today.

"As Hugo Savinovich has just reported EXCLUSIVELY for Lucha Libre Online, the legendary announcer in Spanish, Carlos Cabrera, has been fired from WWE after 29 years with the company," Lucha Libre Online tweeted.

Cabrera had been a staple of WWE's Spanish-language programming since 1993 when he started working for the company. He spent much of his time paired with Hugo Savinovich until 2011. Cabrera had been the play-by-play announcer with Marcelo Rodriguez since then.

Cabrera also hosted WWE en Espanol and he had been on the call for every WrestleMania since WrestleMania 10 back in 1994.

During Cabrera's time in the company, the Spanish announce table rose to infamy in WWE as being the table wrestlers would use to put their opponents through.
