Carmella has not been seen on WWE programming since all the way back in March 2023, last competing in a singles match against Bianca Belair on Monday Night RAW. WWE fans should not expect to see her back in the company for now, as her WWE contract has reportedly expired.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has revealed that Carmella’s contract had expired recently, and is no longer officially in WWE. Carmella joins the list of several names over the last month to have either been let go by WWE, including the likes of Sonya Deville, Authors Of Pain, Duke Hudson, Blair Davenport, Giovanni Vinci, and more.

Carmella’s brief comeback in 2023 came after spending six months away from the ring. Prior to her return in 2023, Carmella had revealed that she’d suffered two miscarriages, before then getting pregnant once again and eventually having a child along with current WWE commentator, Corey Graves, leading to more time away from the ring. Back in 2023 she’d noted that she was intending to make a return, though this never surfaced.

Carmella is a former SmackDown Women’s Champion, the first ever women’s Money In The Bank winner, former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, and the winner of the first ever Mixed Match Challenge.
