Several weeks back, it was revealed that Janel Grant had made several amendments to her lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis and WWE, with new details emerging and being made public.
The complaint was expanded from 67 pages to over 100 pages, with plenty of changes being made to the original lawsuit. This included details about McMahon allegedly sharing explicit photos of Grant without consent, details of a custom office that was made to fit Laurinaitis’ taste following Grant’s move to Talent Relations, the likes of Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan enabling McMahon’s misconduct, an alleged voice memo from McMahon, and other named individuals such as Brock Lesnar being mentioned, among other things.
Shortly following this, Vince McMahon’s team hit back at the amended lawsuit claiming it was a public relations tactic and done in bad faith to the case. In the latest development, Wrestlenomics has noted that WWE has joined Vince McMahon & John Laurinaitis in opposing the amended lawsuit.
WWE’s latest filing claims that Grant’s amendments do not impact WWE’s motion to settle the lawsuit in private arbitration - something WWE, McMahon and Laurinaitis have all wanted. It remains to be seen whether this opposition will be upheld, as a federal judge will make a decision over when Grant’s amendments and new evidence will stand. Other recent developments regarding McMahon have seen Vince McMahon's team claim that the criminal investigation against him was over, in addition to McMahon's former lawyer being accused of withholding documents.
