Report: CM Punk's Injury Considered Serious
CM Punk could be losing the AEW World Title

Regardless of how All Elite Wrestling plan to discipline CM Punk, the AEW World Championship situation will need to be addressed on tonight's episode of Dynamite.
Following initial reports that CM Punk suffered a triceps injury while executing a Suicide Dive in the main event of All Out, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has stated that The Second City Saviour's injury is considered serious and will require surgery.
Meltzer tweeted: "Punk injury, believed to be from the tope, is serious. Rumors from Sunday but he hadn't confirmed them but it's been confirmed to me no matter what happens discipline-wise that the title situation has to be changed and addressed tonight."
Wrestling Observer later wrote: "A Zoom call is scheduled with Punk & Steel for 4 PM today with AEW personnel. - Punk will require surgery, necessitating a new champion be crowned."
If Punk will be stripped of the AEW World Championship or a new Interim AEW World Champion will be crowned remains to be seen.
The main event of All Out, in which Punk defeated Jon Moxley to recapture the AEW World Title, was only the 44-year-old's second match back from a broken foot that he suffered on the June 1 episode of Dynamite. Punk sustained that foot injury only four days after he became AEW World Champion for the first time at Double Or Nothing.
Outside of the triceps injury, CM Punk's future is uncertain following his involvement in a backstage fight with The Elite and Ace Steel after Sunday's All Out pay-per-view. The fight came about after Punk took aim at the AEW EVPs, Hangman Page, and Colt Cabana in a tirade at the All Out media scrum. The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega then confronted Punk in his locker room.
Much is still disputed and a third party is investigating the incident for AEW but several outlets have reported that Punk threw punches at The Young Bucks while Ace Steel, who became involved on the side of Punk, bit Kenny Omega and threw a chair at Nick Jackson.
Reports have since noted that The Elite, Christopher Daniels, Michael Nakazawa, Pat Buck, and Brandon Cutler have received suspensions while Ace Steel has been pulled off the road. There has been no official announcement about Punk but Steven Muehlhausen of DAZN has reported that the AEW World Champion's meeting with Tony Khan on Tuesday was "constructive."
