Report: Details On Sasha Banks' Convention Schedule
Sasha Banks has confirmed her first public appearance since walking out on WWE
Whilst news of Sasha Banks’ future has been unclear since she and tag partner Naomi walked out of WWE in May, we may have gotten a glimpse into ‘The Boss’’ schedule heading forward.
Banks - under real name Mercedes Varnado - has been confirmed for the upcoming C2E2 convention in Chicago in August, but a report from Fightful Select suggests we may have to wait longer before seeing Varnado in any sort of wrestling capacity - active or otherwise.
The report reveals how news of Varnado’s appearance C2E2 prompted organisers of other conventions to also reach out with bookings, and were quoted firm appearance rates by Varnado’s management. Organisers of wrestling conventions were also said to have reached out, but were told Varnado was only taking non-wrestling bookings until January 1 2023 at the earliest.
There’s still no official word on Varnado’s WWE status. Whilst Sasha Banks is still listed as part of the SmackDown roster on WWE.com, WWE have started removing mentions of Banks from official publications and video material, whilst several reports have suggested that Banks has been released.
