Report: Further Confirmation A Former WWE Star Is Returning

This Former Star Could Be Back In WWE Very Soon

There is now even more evidence that a popular name might be making his WWE comeback very soon.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Carlito is on his way back to the promotion.

In a write-up of his match at the World Wrestling Council (WWC) 50th-anniversary show in Puerto Rico, Meltzer noted that: "The fans really wanted Carlito to win, but since he just signed with WWE, he couldn't. Carlito got a standing ovation after the [sic] kissed the ring and [commentator Hugo] Savinovich did tease his going to WWE."

The former United States and Intercontinental Champion last appeared for WWE at Backlash earlier this year, staging a run-in during Bad Bunny’s match with Damian Priest.

He got a huge ovation from the Puerto Rican crowd that night and rumours have been abundant ever since that the company has been angling for him to make a proper return.  According to recent reports, WWE already has a target date in mind for the star's first appearance as a re-signed talent.
