Report: Indy Promotion Secures Major Streaming Deal

A big deal for the indy promotion

Independent wrestling promotion Ohio Valley Wrestling have secured a major streaming deal.

Fightful Select reported that the former WWE developmental territory are close to announcing a deal with a major streaming service for a reality-based series.

The series will follow certain OVW talents during the summer and the show will have full access to the wrestlers' on-screen and personal lives.

Which streaming platform the show will air on has not been confirmed but it will be on Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime. Both Hulu and Amazon have denied working on any professional wrestling programming, while sources within Nexflix didn't deny any pro wrestling shows were in the works.

Former WWE talent Al Snow remains a minority owner in OVW and the roster features the likes of Mr Pectacular, Mahabali Shera, Ryan Howe, and Leila Gray. The promotion produces a weekly TV show that airs on a variety of regional networks across the United States, as well as on FITE and the Fight Network's YouTube channel.
