Report: John Cena Match 'Probable' For WWE WrestleMania 39

John Cena looks set to be in action at WWE WrestleMania 39

A John Cena match at WrestleMania 39 is "probable", according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer noted that Cena competing at The Showcase of the Immortals is not 100 percent but he will be in action at the event if his schedule is free. The 16-time world champion won't be able to appear on TV in person much ahead of WrestleMania as he is scheduled to be in Australia through February and March to film 'Ricky Stanicky', an R-rated comedy with Zac Efron.

WrestleMania 39 is set to emanate from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on April 1 and April 2, 2023.

Cena will have at least one match before WrestleMania 39 as he is scheduled to make his WWE in-ring return on the December 30 edition of Friday Night SmackDown to team with Kevin Owens against Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. Cena's most recent match was at SummerSlam 2021 when he failed to defeat Reigns for the Universal Title.
