Josh Alexander is signing with All Elite Wrestling. Earlier rumours had suggested the former TNA Champion was expected to join the promotion.
Alexander departed TNA in early 2025 after the expiration of his contract, with reports suggesting the ‘Walking Weapon’ was likely heading to AEW. In a follow-up report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer states that multiple sources within AEW have Alexander listed as ‘coming in’, supporting earlier reports that suggested Alexander was choosing AEW over WWE due to being offered a better deal.
Whilst nothing has been confirmed, nor terms of any potential deal, it is believed that Alexander’s decision was swayed by whichever deal would be best for his family, with it assumed AEW has offered more money and/or an easier schedule than WWE. Again, it’s worth bearing in mind that nothing is final until it is publicly announced, although Alexander signing with noted sports agent Barry Bloom could be an indicator of where he is heading, with Bloom handling the affairs of several major AEW stars.
Regarded as one of the finest technical wrestlers in North America, Alexander departed TNA as a two-time TNA World Champion, one-time X Division Champion, and two-time TNA World Tag Team Champion alongside Ethan Page as The North.
