While he looks set to miss out on being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2025, Kamala (real name James Harris) is still reportedly planned to be added to the Hall of Fame in a future class.
That is according to TC of WrestleVotes, who noted that talks between WWE and the family of James Harris have remained positive.
"Well, it appears Kamala will ultimately not be a part of this year's Hall of Fame class. I'm told discussions between WWE and James Harris' family have remained positive and that The Ugandan Giant will one day be honored with an induction in the future," TC tweeted.
It was noted earlier this year that Kamala had been discussed for the WWE Hall of Fame and was potentially set to be a part of the 2025 class. The estate of James Harris recently signed a WWE Legends deal.
Kamala wrestled for WWE across three stints between 1984 and 1993, feuding with the likes of Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant. He also had a brief stint in WCW as part of the Dungeon of Doom in 1995.
The 2025 WWE Hall of Fame class includes Triple H, Lex Luger, Michelle McCool, the Natural Disasters, and Bret Hart vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin from WrestleMania 13.
