Report: Major Interest In Goldberg Following End Of WWE Contract

Plenty of interest in Goldberg

Goldberg has been attracting interest since he became a free agent.

According to reports, the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion officially became a free agent when his WWE contract expired at the end of 2022 and he has been free to speak to other parties since January 1. Goldberg's last match in WWE was in February 2022 when he lost a Universal Title match to Roman Reigns in Saudi Arabia, which was the final bout on Da' Man's deal.

In an update on Goldberg's free agency, Fightful Select reported that "Goldberg has several companies already interested in booking him, including one in Israel." If Goldberg plans to wrestle for any of those companies is unknown, but he did hint at a retirement match earlier this year.

AEW CEO Tony Khan also noted that he was paying attention to Goldberg's status as a free agent. Fightful further reported that Goldberg being a free agent isn't necessarily new and Tony Khan has interacted with Goldberg's representatives for other deals. If any talks have taken place over an AEW match is unknown.
