Report: Major WWE Return Discussed For The Royal Rumble

Another big return could be set for Saturday

A major star could be set to return at the upcoming Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 29.

Several former Women's Champions have already been set for the Rumble, including the likes of Mickie James, The Bella Twins, Bianca Belair and Lita, and they could be joined by a former NXT, SmackDown and Raw Women's Champion.

According to Fightful Select, Asuka has been discussed as a potential entrant in the Women's Rumble and several Superstars believe she will return to the company on January 29.

The Empress Of Tomorrow hasn't appeared on WWE TV for several months, with her last match taking place all the way back at Money In The Bank when she was a participant in the namesake Ladder Match. It emerged shortly after that the 40-year-old was dealing with an injury and she posted a photo of her arm in a brace.

Fightful noted there is no word on if Asuka has been cleared to perform at the Rumble, only that her potential return had been discussed.

Another former women's champion could also return at Saturday's pay-per-view. Find out who here.
