Report: Matt Riddle Pulled From WWE Raw Following Airport Incident

Matt Riddle was not on this week's WWE Raw

Matt Riddle has been a featured talent on Monday Night Raw since his return at the Raw after WrestleMania 39, most recently in a tag team with Drew McIntyre, but Riddle was absent from the latest edition of the red brand on September 11.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that Riddle was pulled from Raw ahead of the show. The word amongst WWE talents at the event was that Riddle was pulled from Raw because of a "medical illness". Riddle is also not expected to be involved at WWE's house shows this weekend in Idaho and Washington State.

Riddle being pulled from Raw comes after he accused a New York City airport policeman of sexual assault. Riddle made the accusation in a since-deleted post on Instagram and the Port Authority department has launched an internal investigation.

Reports have noted that Port Authority officers were called to JFK International Airport over a disorderly person who was deplaning. They reportedly spoke with Matt Riddle and other witnesses and no police report was filed. Everyone was free to go without incident and Riddle seemed apologetic at the time.
