While it appears the issues aren't anywhere close to the problems that occurred during CM Punk's AEW run, that doesn't mean everything is perfect in CM Punk's relationship with WWE.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that "to say there are no issues at all, that wouldn’t be correct." The issues aren't as bad as they have been made out to be by some, according to Meltzer, but "it's not like there aren't any issues at all."
CM Punk has been absent from WWE TV since the Raw after WrestleMania 42, which surprised many fans as Punk insisted during his most recent appearance that he wasn't "going on vacation" and a programme with Cody Rhodes over the Undisputed WWE Championship was teased.
Punk has been off WWE TV after the company changed their plans for the Undisputed WWE Title and World Heavyweight Championship pictures. Meltzer further noted that Punk's hiatus was to prepare him for a brand switch to Friday Night SmackDown and eventually a feud with Cody Rhodes. Punk is currently "pushing very hard" for his return to take place on the July 6 episode of Monday Night Raw, however, as the show is airing from his hometown of Chicago.
Wild rumours on X/Twitter earlier this month claimed CM Punk's future with WWE was in doubt because of issues between the two parties. Those issues included Punk being frustrated by WWE's treatment of AJ Lee, Punk having heat with TKO over politicking around WrestleMania, TKO asking Punk to take a pay cut, and an alleged incident at WrestleMania. Those rumours were debunked, however.
