Over WrestleMania 41 week, Minoru Suzuki was a very busy man, competing in GCW, Progress, DDT, and Prestige in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, there was just one match anyone was talking about, and that was at the WrestleCon Mark Hitchcock Memorial Show where he took on 58 year old Butterbean, who is infamously known in the wrestling world as the man who knocked out Bart Gunn at WrestleMania 15 in a shoot boxing match.

Suzuki and Butterbean ‘wrestled’ in a match that had multiple two minute rounds, but the action was diabolically bad. Weak chops, two minutes spent in a leg lock, and a weird brawl to the outside that led to special guest referee Dan Severn calling off the match, led to what is considered already as one of the all-time worst bouts in professional wrestling history.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that Minoru Suzuki was ‘very upset’ after the match due to never having one as bad as that, despite it not being his fault. Meltzer gave his star rating for the match in the Observer - minus 459.7 stars, and declared it even worse than the historically bad Sheik and Volkoff match at the Heroes Of Wrestling PPV.
