Report: More Major Stars To Appear On WWE NXT

More major WWE stars set to appear on NXT

NXT has seen several major WWE stars make their way to the black and gold brand as of late, with the likes of World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, and Dana Brooke amongst others rocking up in NXT.

It seems that this isn’t a trend that is set to end any time soon, with Dave Meltzer reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that more major stars are set to dip into NXT in order to help improve ratings and build the brand into must-watch wrestling television.

Meltzer suggests that the Rollins ‘experiment’ worked very well, and there have been discussions that Ronda Rousey or the combined team of Rousey and Shayna Baszler could appear in NXT, with the possibility that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships could be defended on the show.

The move should come as little surprise, as WWE CEO Nick Khan outlined plans to re-establish NXT as WWE’s third brand, with the move to NXT 2.0 in 2021 cementing NXT as a truly developmental promotion after several years of critical and fan acclaim during the ‘classic’ black and gold era.
