Report: Multiple AEW Talents Want To Join WWE

Rumours of discontent amongst sections of the AEW locker room have only intensified in recent weeks, with the supposed ‘approach’ by WWE for several stars, and the uncertain future of Malakai Black - possibly with an eye on rejoining WWE.

Further reports this weekend suggested House of Black’s Buddy Matthews is also be looking for a way out of AEW, and a tweet from Dave Meltzer suggests others may follow suit:

"Looks like a few right now. I don't think a mass exodus but looks like a few want to go. Tony can legally keep them and not sure how everything will play out," tweeted Meltzer in response to someone asking about an 'exodus' of former NXT talents looking to leave AEW.

A recent post from Ryan Frederick on the Wrestling Observer Board suggested that those looking to rejoin WWE are ones with ‘significant others’ working in the company. This line of thinking has led to rumours suggesting Andrade El Idolo could also want out, due to his wife Charlotte Flair being one of WWE’s biggest stars, whilst Malakai Black’s wife Zelina Vega is part of WWE, as is Buddy Matthews’ girlfriend Rhea Ripley.

Frederick’s post did suggest that former WWE star Miro is not believed to want his AEW release and ‘does not want to go back’ to WWE.
