Nothing has changed between Miro & AEW

While Miro was one of All Elite Wrestling's top stars in 2021, reigning as TNT Champion for 140 days, The Redeemer was hardly booked in the promotion in 2022 and he hasn't appeared on AEW programming at all since All Out in September when he teamed with Sting and Darby Allin to defeat The House of Black.

Miro's return doesn't look to be any closer than it was at the start of 2023, though, and Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter there is "nothing new" on the 37-year-old's status. He remains under contract with All Elite Wrestling and is simply not being used.

Relations between AEW and Miro appeared to deteriorate towards the end of 2022. The former WWE star was pitched to return for November's Full Gear pay-per-view and he would have made it to the final two of a Battle Royal at the show before being eliminated by Hangman Page. Miro reportedly rejected that idea, however, and Tony Khan told him at the time they would come back around and work on something after the show.

Following that, Miro's wife CJ Perry (AKA Lana) said in an interview that she thinks he will one day return to WWE, which doesn't appear to have helped the situation.

Unless AEW decide to release him, Miro will be with the promotion for some time since he is under contract until 2026.
