Report: Planned AEW Return Date For CM Punk Revealed

When CM Punk is returning to AEW revealed

CM Punk will be heading back to All Elite Wrestling in a couple of months.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current plan is for CM Punk to return on the June 17 episode of AEW Collision, which will emanate from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The taping has not been officially announced as of yet but Meltzer noted the building has already been booked and an announcement is likely coming very soon when deals for Punk's return and AEW Collision are 100% finalised.

It has previously been noted AEW Collision - the company's third TV show - is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, June 17. The show will air on TNT in the United States from 8 pm until 10 pm ET. The TV show has yet to be made official by All Elite Wrestling.

Part of Punk's return will see AEW introduce a roster split, reportedly to separate talents who want to work with CM Punk and those who don't even want to be in the building with the 44-year-old. Punk is set to be the star of AEW Collision.

Punk has been away from AEW since his involvement in a backstage fight alongside Ace Steel with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks after All Out in September 2022. The fight occurred after CM Punk took shots at the AEW EVPs, Hangman Page, and Colt Cabana during the post-All Out media scrum, only minutes after he had won the AEW World Title for the second time.
