Report: Planned Main Event Of WWE Clash At The Castle Revealed

WWE have a major match in mind for the Principality Stadium show

According to the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE have decided the main event for the upcoming Clash at the Castle premium live event.

Clash at the Castle will take place at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on September 3. It will be WWE's biggest UK show since SummerSlam 1992, which emanated from a sold-out Wembley Stadium.

Per the Observer, WWE are planning to have Drew McIntyre challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Title at the event.

While discussing the upcoming Money in the Bank show, Dave Meltzer noted that the plan was for Reigns to defend the WWE Universal Title on the night, but not against McIntyre, with the idea that Drew is being saved for the match on UK soil.

The Scotsman has previously teased a match with boxing superstar Tyson Fury. The WBC Heavyweight Champion further claimed he wanted to 'knock McIntyre out' when WWE visited the UK, following his successful defence against Dillian Whyte on April 23.
