After a brief Twitter interaction between Rey Mysterio and Roman Reigns late Thursday evening, the Universal Championship Hell In A Cell match, originally scheduled for Sunday, was moved to tonight's edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is "no involved reason that made any sense" as to why WWE decided to bring the match forward. The company held discussions about the Universal Title match on Thursday and the end result was "let's do it on SmackDown."

A replacement Universal Title match also seemingly won't be added to Sunday's pay-per-view as Meltzer noted the plan is for Roman Reigns not to be in action on Sunday.

With the move, Hell In A Cell currently only has four matches on the card. They are: • Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Drew McIntyre - Hell In A Cell Match for the WWE Championship • Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair - Raw Women's Championship• Bianca Belair (c) vs. Bayley - SmackDown Women's Championship• Alexa Bliss vs. Shayna Baszler
