Report: Fox & NBC Pushing For WWE Crossovers

NFL Raw anyone?

It emerged yesterday courtesy of WrestleVotes that WWE was looking to run more themed shows like old school Raw, King Of The Ring and viewer's choice events like Cyber Sunday in late 2021 and early 2022. Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast also noted that Raw Roulette is "more than likely to happen this year."

TV networks NBC and Fox were a big part of the push for more themed shows, according to Fightful Select. Several NBC Sports-related crossovers have also been pitched. One would involve a crossover with NASCAR that would be built around a major race and involve cars and star drivers. NBC pitched a "points month" as well which would see Superstars earn points from wins, signature moves and other things.

A tie-in with the launch of Sunday Night Football has also been pitched. This would involve American football-themed matches and storylines. NFL players and commentators would also be present on the show. Another idea was for a Wrestling World Cup that would include all brands.

If any of these crossovers will come to fruition ultimately remains to be seen, but some diverse WWE shows look to be on the horizon.
