Report: WWE Considering Running More Themed Shows

Cyber Sunday could be on its way back

WWE goes back on the road from the July 16 edition of Friday Night SmackDown and the company is reportedly putting some big plans in place for late 2021 and early 2022.

According to WrestleVotes, WWE is looking at running more themed shows like the King Of The Ring, old school Raw and viewer's choice events like Cyber Sunday and Taboo Tuesday.

"Hearing WWE is potentially looking at more 'themed' live shows upon returning to the road. Old School RAW, KOTR tourney, Viewers Choice ala Cyber Sunday all possible for late 2021, early 2022," they tweeted.

Speculation around a new King Of The Ring tournament has picked up in recent weeks due to King Corbin and Shinsuke Nakamura's ongoing rivalry. Corbin has even said he would be open to defending his crown

An interactive show would also be a blast from the past for WWE. The company previously held Taboo Tuesday and then Cyber Sunday from 2004 until 2008, but the company hasn't revived the concept since then.
