Report: Reason WWE Wrote Wendy Choo Off NXT TV Revealed

Wendy Choo has been written off NXT TV

As seen on the February 28 edition of WWE NXT, Wendy Choo was left laying in agony after a sneak attack backstage, with Choo becoming the latest victim of the mysterious car park assailant.

The angle is reportedly covering for an actual injury, with F4W Online’s Bryan Alvarez noting how Choo’s injury isn’t believed to be too serious but that she is expected to miss ‘some time’.

The nature of Choo’s injury hasn’t been revealed, with Choo clutching her left elbow during the assault angle. The last time Choo wrestled was on the February 16 edition of WWE Main Event, defeating Dana Brooke in singles action.

Choo signed with WWE in early 2019 after debuting as part of the 2018 Mae Young Classic, originally wrestling as Karen Q before adopting the Mei Ying gimmick as part of the mysterious Tian Sha at the tail end of the ‘black and gold’ era of NXT in 2020. After NXT changed to NXT 2.0, the Wendy Choo gimmick was born, with Choo wrestling her first match as the character in January 2022.
