Report: Roman Reigns' Current WWE WrestleMania 40 Plans Revealed

Current WWE WrestleMania 40 plans reportedly revealed for Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns suffered a shock pinfall loss at Money in the Bank on July 1, when Jey Uso got the one-two-three over the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion - the first person to pin Reigns since 2019.

With such a statement victory over Reigns, many have wondered if Uso is set to dethrone the all-conquering ‘Tribal Chief’, but Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio has reported that reigns could be set to carry the title all the way until WrestleMania XL in 2024:

“His [Cody Rhodes] storyline is that the belt that his father didn’t win – which is apparently Roman’s belt – that’s the one that’s the story,” said Meltzer “So basically, he almost has said it’s next year’s WrestleMania, which is the plan right now.”

Reigns soundly defeated Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39 Night Two in defence of his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, a match that a Rhodes win seemed almost certain. If Meltzer’s report is accurate, then it looks like Rhodes may get his big win at WrestleMania XL.
