Report: Sasha Banks Not Medically Cleared For WWE Royal Rumble

Banks apparently injured...

One of the more notable wrestlers that didn't appear at Sunday night's Royal Rumble pay-per-view was Sasha Banks.

Most would have figured that she'd have been a participant in the 30-woman Royal Rumble match, but she was nowhere to be seen.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful posted a report Monday, stating that Banks was not medically cleared to wrestle, and thus could not compete in the match.

Banks has not wrestled since Friday, January 3, an episode of SmackDown in which she and Women's champion Bayley teamed up in a triple threat match against Dana Brooke and Lacey Evans, and Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.

Banks was scheduled to wrestle Evans in singles matches on subsequent episodes of SmackDown in the run-up to the Rumble (Evans faced Banks' ally Bayley last night for the title), but those matches were all scrapped. She was also not a part of any physical angles on SmackDown since her most recent match.

It's not known how long Banks is expected to miss.
