Report: Several WWE WrestleMania 37 Pitches For Bayley Shot Down

There was seemingly an internal struggle within WWE to get Bayley on the WrestleMania 37 card.

Becky Lynch has previously noted there were discussions within WWE about her returning for a match with Bayley at the 2021 edition of The Showcase Of The Immortals but those conversations ultimately never went anywhere.

Fightful Select have reported that wasn't the only idea pitched for Bayley at WrestleMania 37. From speaking to members of the WWE creative team at the time, Fightful noted there were an "exhaustive number of pitches to get Bayley more involved in WrestleMania" but everything that was pitched kept getting shot down. 

There was also reportedly a strong pitch for Bayley to host the show either by herself or alongside Hulk Hogan and Titus O'Neil and several pitches involved Bayley hosting a special edition of her talk show, 'Ding Dong, Hello!'.

Bayley was eventually added to 'Mania and she was involved in segments throughout the two-night event before she was beaten down by The Bellas, who had been inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame two nights earlier. 

The former SmackDown Women's Champion noted following the event that her segments were a last-minute addition to The Show Of Shows.
