Report: The Elite Cancelled A Meeting With CM Punk Ahead Of AEW All In

The Elite reportedly cancelled a meeting with CM Punk

The wrestling world has been rocked by the news of CM Punk’s AEW firing, and in the aftermath of such a controversial week a report has emerged signalling that things could have calmed down a considerable amount before the All In event took place.

Haus of Wrestling have reported that in the week of All In, a face-to-face meeting between CM Punk and the members of The Elite was scheduled to take place, with Tony Khan in attendance too. This was intended to bury the hatchet, but it was allegedly cancelled by The Elite’s side;

“Haus of Wrestling has learned that a sit-down with the relevant members of The Elite, CM Punk, and Tony Khan was scheduled to take place last week, ahead of AEW: All In London, but was called off at the last minute by The Elite’s camp. From what we understand, it was going to take place in Atlanta, and Tony Khan would have been present. The summit was intended to bury the hatchet between both sides ahead of the historic AEW pay-per-view, and the cancellation of it appears to have added to Punk’s overall frustrations with the situation heading into the event.”

Whether this would have changed what happened at All In is unclear and will never be known.
