Report: Top Stars Opposed To CM Punk's WWE Return

CM Punk is once again the talk of the town with rumours running rampant on a potential return to WWE - perhaps as soon as next month’s Survivor Series. However, given the history between CM Punk and WWE, there are still several hurdles that need to be jumped over to make that happen.

Fightful Select have released an extensive report at the potential of CM Punk going to WWE, noting that when it comes to some top names like Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, bridges need to be mended, later stating that there are numerous top stars in WWE who are opposed to Punk joining. Whether this directly includes Reigns and Rollins wasn’t made clear.  It was also revealed that one top star said “he wouldn't be able to pull any of his sh*t here. There's nobody here he could jump without getting his ass handed to him”, following up that WWE would need to sit Punk down and talk to him. Either way, it looks like Punk will need to make an extra effort to get on good terms with many important names on the WWE roster.
